Ingredients

• 4 bratwurst sausages

• 2 tablespoons olive oil

• 1 small onion, thinly sliced

• Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the sliced onion and sauté until soft and golden, about 8–10 minutes.

Add the bratwursts to the pan with the onions.

Cook, turning occasionally, until the brats are browned and cooked through, about 12–15 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper.

• After browning, add beer and a splash of broth. Simmer for 20–30 minutes.

• Add minced garlic or a pinch of brown sugar for richer flavor.
