
Ingredients
The Apples
2–3 large apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
The Batter
2 large eggs
½ cup sugar
½ cup milk
⅓ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Peel and slice the apples into medium wedges.
Melt the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat.
Add the apple slices, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for about 5 minutes until the apples soften slightly and are coated with caramel syrup.
